Sooo… i’m curious. What’s your favourite book?
Please note that anyone who puts ‘Twilight’ will be pelted with dungbombs.
I jest… I don’t have any dungbombs.

Help!
I’ve just remembered this really cool book from my childhood but I can’t remember the title! Some teenagers get trapped in a cave and are slowly picked off by a creature from another dimension.
There is also a witch, pig henchmen, tar and ice cream…
Anyone read it too?

Evening writers!
Lots happening in the PIYE Hub of late thanks to the release of our first issue AND the promotion for our second. However, we just wanted to take a time out and ask you all a very important question…
Who is your favourite literary character of all time?
Let me break the ice and tell you all that mine is Hermione Granger. She beats everyone wands down. Though The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a close second…
So yer, REPLY! =]
Please note anyone who names a Twilight or Hunger Games character will be fed to a Hungarian Horntail.
I jest. I only own a Welsh Green.

Hello writers!
Only nine days to go until the deadline for issue two so keep your submissions coming!
We thought we’d take a break from reading submissions and emails to have a chat. If you have something to say just send us an ask, we don’t bite =]
Question - do any of you have a bookish tattoo?
I have a Dark Mark on my forearm. Any other magical folks among the muggles?

As of today PIYE Magazine will now be available in News From Nowhere on Bold Street, Liverpool. (Click the image below to visit their webpage.)
This is a brilliant bookshop with extremely knowledgeable staff and we’re proud to have our magazine on their shelves. I highly recommend a visit if independent bookshops are your thing… and if they’re not!
I also left some free stickers there under the noticeboard so pick one up if you fancy.
In other news, the deadline for issue #2 has now passed. Thank you to those who submitted and we will be in touch very soon.
Happy World Book Day writers!
What books have you got your noses stuck in at the moment?
I’m halfway through my second reading of the A Song of Ice and Fire series and it’s making me want a sword…
brownratscribbler replied to your post: Happy World Book Day writers! What books have you…
I am reading ‘Kraken’ by China Miéville….it makes me want to have tentacles.
Excellent book! I was hooked as soon as the blurb mentioned the British Museum and the giant squid. I’m dying to read Railsea too, that’s next on my list.
